Sheldon L. Wykell

Sheldon Wykell, 76, loyal and devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away January 12, 2025. Sheldon was born in Chicago, Il, and came to Florida with his family in 1990. He was a clinical therapist, and while he devoted most of his career to psychotherapy, he was very proud of his work as director of HIAS, Chicago, helping Jews from the Soviet Union relocate to Chicago in the 1980's. He had an unrivaled love of food and going to the movies. He loved meeting people, always willing to strike up a conversation with everyone he met. He was a member of Temple Beth-El. He is survived by his wife, Ann, sons Joshua (Melissa) and Eli (Molly) and his grandchildren, Evelyn, Leo, and Jesse.
