Grant J. Marks, 62, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away on December 29, 2024.

Born on March 20, 1962, in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Africa, he was the son of Bernard and Cynthia Marks. Grant is survived by his two children, Stephanie Dieffenthaller (Luke) of Clearwater and Jarred Marks (Sydney) of Dunedin. He was a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren: Asher and Dax Dieffenthaller, and Declan and Olivia Marks. Grant is also survived by his mother, Cynthia Marks of Clearwater; his sister, Lara Marks-Spivak of Dunedin; his brother, Sydney Marks (Kathy) of Palm Beach Gardens; his niece, Jennifer Marks; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Marks.

Known for his deep love of animals, Grant was the proud owner of three dogs—Maggie, Kaylee, and Bernie—and five cats, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Grant was a fierce advocate for animal rescue, pouring much of his time and energy into helping animals in need. His home was always open to rescues, providing a loving and safe environment for countless animals. His love for animals was infectious, and his compassion for them touched the lives of many.

Grant was a veteran, passionate entrepreneur, and dedicated businessman. For over 20 years, he owned and operated a decorative concrete company, earning a well-deserved reputation for his skill, craftsmanship, and integrity. His business allowed him to form long-lasting relationships with clients, employees, and local contractors.

Outside of his work and animal advocacy, Grant was a kind and outgoing person who cherished his time spent with family and friends. He was known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit. He was deeply devoted to his children, Stephanie and Jarred. Above all, Grant adored his grandchildren, who called him "Pop". He took great joy in watching them grow and was always eager to create lasting memories with them.
